Sony postpones Days Gone for PlayStation 4 until April 26, 2019
Sony is delaying the release of Days Gone for the PlayStation 4 by two months, so that the game won’t be released simultaneously with other titles such as Anthem, Metro Exodus and Left Alive. The release date was February 22.
In a blog post about the upcoming lineup for the PlayStation 4, Sony says the game has been delayed due to the busy period in February when many major games are released. Sony says that delaying the release will benefit developer Bend Studio: “While the developer would like to see Days Gone in the hands of fans, Bend Studio is going to take the opportunity to polish the game even more”.
Days Gone has been postponed once before. During the E3 trade show in 2016, the game was announced with a 2018 release date, but due to unknown reasons the date was moved to 2019. Last June, a trailer was released showing the new release date, which was February 22, 2019.
In Days Gone, the player takes on the role of a biker trying to survive during a zombie outbreak. During his trek, he not only encounters zombies, but also hostile people and animals. The game is only available for the PlayStation 4.
