ASUS Zenbook 15 with 4k OLED screen and AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU appears online
ASUS appears to be working on a Zenbook 15 model with a 4k OLED display, an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU, and a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU from Nvidia. The laptop has not yet been officially announced, but appeared at various web shops.
The ASUS Zenbook 15 UM535QE appeared on Amazon China, among others, MyLaptopGuide noted. The laptop has now also appeared at German and Swedish web shops, VideoCardz writes. On those product pages you can see, among other things, that the model has a touch-sensitive 15.6 “OLED screen with a resolution of 3840×2160. The maximum screen brightness is 440cd/m². The OLED panel could also display 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. For the time being, there is no mention of possible HDR support and the refresh rate is also unknown.
ASUS seems to equip the laptop with an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU with eight Zen 3 cores and 16 threads, although a variant with AMD Ryzen 7 5800H has also appeared. That processor has the same number of cores, but lower clock speeds. The Zenbook 15 is equipped with 16GB of soldered Lpddr4x memory and an NVMe SSD of up to 1TB. The Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU has 4GB GDDR6 memory. The tdp of this video card is unknown.
The ASUS Zenbook 15 also gets a 96Wh battery and comes with a 150W charger. In terms of connections, the laptop has a USB-C connector, a USB type A port, an HDMI connection and a 3.5mm jack for audio. The notebook also gets an SD card reader. The official euro prices are still unknown. A variant with Ryzen 7 5800H CPU and 512GB SSD is pre-sold at a German retailer for 1799 euros. The 5900HX variant is sold in China for 1665 euros, although that price will probably be higher in Europe. The webshops mention a delivery time between August and the end of September.
