Tablet with LCD and E Ink screen on both sides will cost $ 699
The company Eewrite wants to release a dual-screen tablet with an electronic ink screen on one side and an LCD on the other. The Epad X or Janus, as the tablet is called, will cost $ 699.
A button on the side of the screen allows users to switch between tablet and e-reader mode. On one side is a 9.7″ LCD with a resolution of 2408×1536 pixels. The other side is occupied by a 9.7″ E Ink Carta panel with a resolution of 1200×825 pixels.
The E Ink screen supports operation with a Wacom stylus where it distinguishes 4096 pressure levels. The processor is the MediaTek MT8176 hexacore and there is 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory, which can be expanded with an SD memory card. There is also an 8-megapixel camera and the battery capacity is 5000mAh. Charging is possible via the USB-C port.
Eewrite calls the tablet Epad X but Ogadget has it listed as the Janus on his site. The company previously reported to Liliputing that it was still working on the final details of the hardware, but it is now known that the price will be $ 699 with a pre-order price of $ 399.
