‘New Surface Laptop gets black variant’
Images have surfaced of a black Surface Laptop, which would replace the gold variant of the current generation. Microsoft is likely to announce new Surface products in early October, which would not differ from the current ones in terms of design.
The images published by MySmartPrice show versions of the Surface Laptop in black, blue, gray and red. The black replaces the gold laptop of the current series, the site claims. The new model may be called Surface Laptop 2, but that is not yet certain.
The design is otherwise identical to that of the current Surface Laptop. Microsoft would make the switch to eighth-generation Intel Core processors and lpddr4-ram, it is expected. The images do not show a USB-C connection.
According to Microsoft watcher Paul Thurrot, the Surface Pro will also have a black option. In addition, he expects Microsoft to announce a Surface Go with LTE support. Thurrot also thinks that the Surface line will only receive a hardware upgrade.
Microsoft is holding an event called ‘A moment of your time’ in New York on October 2.
