Download LibreELEC 9.2.6
The developers behind the Libre Embedded Linux Entertainment Center released version 9.2.6 a few days ago. LibreELEC was created after a large number of developers left OpenELEC due to disagreements and started their own business. This Linux distribution is based on Kodi and can turn a computer into a full-fledged htpc. It can also be installed on a Raspberry Pi or a separate media player. Version 9.2.6 of LibreELEC uses Kodi version 18.9 as its base and does not appear to have any other changes.
Changes since 9.2.5:
- Kodi 18.9
Kodi 19 Matrix:
We have currently no plans yet to create an official Alpha release of LE10 with the Alpha version of Kodi 19. Due the drawn out release cycle of Kodi and the experiences from the past few years we are waiting a bit longer to avoid major problems. Nightly builds could be downloaded like usual, that includes the latest unstable development snapshot of LE10/Kodi19.
Change for Raspberry 4:
With LE 9.2 and later you need to add “hdmi_enable_4kp60=1“ to your config.txt if you want to use 4k output at the RPi4. before you need”hdmi_enable_4k=1“that’s now deprecated.
If you experience problems, please open an thread at our forum. You can also open a ticket at our Github issue tracker.
