Old School RuneScape launches October 30 for iOS and Android

Jagex will release the mobile version of mmorpg Old School RuneScape worldwide on October 30. The Android and iOS version was already playable in beta and was released earlier in some countries. It is the same version that is also available on the PC.

According to developer Jagex, half a million people have already played the beta, which was only accessible to paying members. When the game is released worldwide on October 30, everyone will be able to download it for free and play without a subscription. Users can pre-register the app in the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.

Jagex states that the development team has been working to make Old School RuneScape available on as many mobile devices as possible. The iOS version works on iPhones, iPads, and iPods running iOS 10 or later. The Android version works on devices with Android 5.0 or later. No hardware requirements are mentioned. The interface has been modified for the mobile version. Among other things, there is a customizable hotkey.

Old School RuneScape was released for PC in 2013. It is a version of the game that corresponds to the version from 2007. There is also a modern version, which simply has the title RuneScape. RuneScape Classic, which came out in 2001, has been offline since August 6.
