Lenovo provides Yoga laptop with E Ink screen and comes with Snapdragon 850 model
Lenovo has announced several new 2-in-1 devices in the Yoga series, including the Yoga Book C930. This is a convertible PC with an additional E Ink display. There will also be a model with Snapdragon 850-soc and a Chromebook in the Yoga series.
The top model in the renewed Yoga series is the C930. This 2-in-1 should, among other things, distinguish itself with its sound reproduction. This is because a Rotating Sound Bar named by Lenovo, with support for Dolby Atmos. The C930 also supports the HDR standard Dolby Vision. Lenovo supplies the 2-in-1 with a stylus that charges when integrated.
The Yoga Book C930 is a variant of the C930 with a second screen based on electronic ink. Users can make notes on this and it makes the device suitable as an e-reader. In addition, the E Ink screen can be used as a keyboard with different configurations and skins. The Book C930 also gets a stylus and this Precision Pen is a Wacom model with 4096 pressure points and bluetooth.
The C930 models will receive Intel processors, but there will also be a 2-in-1 based on Qualcomm’s Mobile Compute Platform. This Yoga C630 WOS is the first with the Snapdragon 850-soc, which Qualcomm makes especially for laptops. In addition to the ARM soc, LTE support is standard, thanks to the presence of the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem, which supports speeds of up to 1.2Gigabit/s. The passively cooled laptop is 12.5 mm thick and weighs 1.2 kilograms. The C630 WOS also has a 13.3 “screen with IPS panel and resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels.
The Yoga C930 and Book C930 will be released at the end of September for a respective starting price of EUR 1499 and EUR 999. The Yoga C630 WOS will follow in November for 999 euros.
Lenovo also announces the Yoga S730. This is a laptop with the latest generation Core i7 processors and a claimed battery life of up to 10 hours. This laptop also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The model will appear in October for a starting price of 999 euros.
The Yoga Chromebook also appears. This is a high-end model for Chrome OS terms, with a touch-sensitive 4k screen, thin screen bezels and SSD storage. The starting price is 799 euros and Lenovo will start sales at the end of October. A month later, the manufacturer releases a cheaper Chromebook, the C330, with an IPS touchscreen but emmc storage instead of an SSD. The starting price will be 349 euros.
