Sony presents Cyber-Shot cameras with 30x zoom and 4k video
Sony has announced the HX95 and HX99. Both cameras have a 30x zoom and can record videos in 4k resolution. They are the first cameras in Sony’s HX line that can do that, the manufacturer says.
There are minor differences between the HX95 and HX99. For example, the few tens more expensive HX99 has a touch screen and the option to focus manually when taking photos. This is done with the control ring on the lens. Both cameras have the same sensor, an 18.2-megapixel Exmor R sensor with a size of 1/2.3 “.
Both cameras have a range of 24mm to 720mm, a magnification of 30x. They can take ten pictures per second and include the function of focusing the autofocus on people’s eyes, so that they are always sharp.
Both cameras also have an LCD on the back that can rotate 180 degrees to enable self-portraits. A separate grip is also available to make them suitable for vlogging.
The separate handle costs 120 euros. Both cameras will be launched in the Benelux in October. The HX95 will cost 500 euros and the HX99 has a suggested retail price of 520 euros.
