Download WinMX 3.0 beta 5

Tonnes led us the way to a new beta of the file sharing tool WinMX. Beta 5 this time of the third version. They haven’t finished testing yet, so there’s a list of known issues below. This version is again not compatible with the current stable version 2.6, so the network will not be as large as with that stable version.

Small note from previous beta. Posting comments with a download link makes relatively little sense, since there is a message not to do this. The link is changed from time to time.

The current beta version has the following known issues which we are working to correct:

• all links to web site are currently under construction
• problems maximizing windows, Hotlist needs to have “always on top”
• OpenNap functionality incomplete, WSX files not importable at this time
• minor file transfer related issues occasional crash on disconnect from WPN
• sorting issues in search window
