Renders of what may be the designs of both the iPhone XI and XI Max, the presumed successors to the iPhone XS and XS Max, have surfaced. The images show that both devices have a square bump on the back that houses three cameras.

Both the iPhone XI and the larger XI Max have the cameras placed in a triangular arrangement, with the flash also located in the square bump. This square is located in the top left corner of both devices and protrudes 1.2 mm above the rest of the back, OnLeaks reports based on the renders, which he published in collaboration with the Indian site Cashkaro. The renders and accompanying published videos are based on CAD drawings of the new Apple smartphones.

No further details have been released on the specifications of the cameras, although an Apple analyst recently reported that Apple will release at least two iPhones this year with three cameras on the back, with the third being a wide-angle lens. Assuming the new renders are accurate, at least the prediction holds for the Phone XI and XI Max. The analyst indicated that the wide-angle lens will have an angle of view of 120 or 130 degrees and that the module has a 12-megapixel resolution without autofocus.

The two likely successors of the iPhone XS and XS Max will have screen diagonals of 5.8 and 6.5 “respectively, have a Lightning connection, do not have USB-C and have a back panel formed from a single piece of glass, where the camera bump has also been intervened. Compared to the iPhone XS Max, the screen edges and the notch of the new XI Max are said to have been reduced slightly, although that is not clear from the images. The iPhone XI Max measures 157.6×77 .5×8.1mm and the iPhone XI measures 143.9×71.4×7.8mm.
