Ubisoft postpones Anno 1800 release to February 26, 2019

Ubisoft will release the strategy game Anno 1800 on February 26, 2019. This means a delay of several months. The publisher mentioned when announcing a release that was to take place at the end of 2018.

Ubisoft will also release the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Pioneers Edition for PC on February 26 in addition to the regular version of the new part in the Anno series. The Deluxe version includes the base game, ‘The Anarchist’ DLC and extras such as a book and soundtrack. The Pioneers edition also includes three lithographs and a collector’s box.

Anno 1800 was announced a year ago during the Gamescom in Cologne. A reason why the release has been postponed from the winter of 2018 to February 26, 2019 has not been given. The game is set in the 19th century in the Victorian era.

Players must build metropolises and send expeditions to other regions of the world, such as South America. The emergence of large industry, with steam engines, plays a major role in the game. In addition to a campaign, there is a customizable sandbox mode and a multiplayer game.
