Dark Souls: Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch on October 19th
Bandai Namco has announced that the Switch version of Dark Souls: Remastered will be released on October 19. The game has therefore been postponed again, previously the publisher said that the game would be released for the Nintendo console in the summer.
The publisher mentions the release date in a tweet. An amiibo will be available on the same date: Solaire or Astora; that is a knight that appears in Dark Souls. In April, Bandai Namco announced that the Switch version of the Dark Souls remaster had been delayed until the summer, but that deadline was not met either. The publisher does not provide a further explanation for this.
The game runs in 1080p mode when played in the dock and in 720p resolution when the Switch is used as a handheld. The publisher promises a frame rate of 30 fps and the online mode is suitable for up to six players.
Dark Souls: Remastered was released on May 25 as scheduled for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is a graphically polished version of the game that first appeared in 2011. The remaster also includes the DLC that was released for the game.
