Photos of possible white version Pixel 3 XL appear online
An XDA Developers user has posted photos online that may show a white version of the Pixel 3 XL, which Google has yet to announce. It would be an early model intended for engineering purposes.
XDA Developers notes that the bootloader seen in one of the photos mentions “crosshatch EVT1.0,” where crosshatch is the codename for the new device and the abbreviation for engineering validation test. Previously published photos of a black version with the same listing on XDA Developers. The site suspects that Google has now moved to the next phase, called design validation test, in which the models are prepared for mass production. As a result, it is possible that the final design deviates.
It can also be seen that the device has 4GB of RAM in combination with 64GB of storage. The black model shown earlier had 128GB of storage and the same memory capacity. According to the source of the photos, a person calling himself dr.guru, the back of the white device is all glass, with the top glossy and the bottom matte. However, he could not confirm that the device is wirelessly rechargeable, which is possible thanks to the glass back.
The appearance of the device corresponds to renders that have already appeared online. For example, the notch in the screen can be seen, just like the camera configuration and the position of the fingerprint scanner. The large model of the Pixel devices shown now may have a 6.2″ screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio, while the smaller model would have a 5.4″ screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Google will most likely present the devices this fall.
