Fallout 76 will be beta tested with limited access in October
Bethesda has announced that the beta test for the game Fallout 76 announced in June will take place in October. The test is not an open beta available to anyone interested; initially it is only open to people who have placed a preorder.
On the official Bethesda forum, a community administrator announced that the beta is open to anyone who has pre-ordered a copy of Fallout 76. It must be a preorder at a store that ‘participates’. According to the administrator, the number of beta testers will grow in the run-up to the game’s official release. Earlier it became clear that the beta will be available first for Xbox One owners; then it is the turn of users from other platforms. It is not yet clear when the beta will start.
Fallout 76 is an online game with both single player and multiplayer elements. The game takes place in the US state of West Virginia and every person in the game is a human player. Players can opt for a single player experience, but they can also work together to survive. The game will be released on November 14 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
