Royole makes flexible screen devkit available
Royole comes with a devkit containing a flexible screen. The manufacturer of the first phone with a bendable screen is now making this technology available to developers who want to get started with a flexible screen.
The Royole RoKit is available through the manufacturer’s website and costs $959. The Royole RoKit contains a flexible 7.9″ touchscreen, with a resolution of 1920×1440 pixels. The screen comes with a board with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.
The board also contains 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. WiFi 5 and Bluetooth 5 are also supported. The board has a USB type-c connector and can run Android 10. In addition, it is also possible to connect the screen to a computer via HDMI, drivers are already available for Windows 10.
Royole was one of the first manufacturers to come up with a phone with a flexible screen in 2019. The Royole FlexPai was the first smartphone with a bendable screen that we got our hands on. This is followed by Samsung and other manufacturers with smartphones with bendable screens. A second version of the FlexPai has already been released.
