Dark Souls developer FromSoftware releases PSVR title Déraciné this year
FromSoftware announced a PSVR title at Sony’s E3 presentation, which is slated to be released later this year. It concerns the game Déraciné, in which the player takes on the role of a ghost or fairy.
According to Sony, the game is the result of a collaboration between FromSoftware, Japan Studio and Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki. It would be an adventure game and a visual novel, set in a boarding school. The player takes on the role of a ghost or fairy summoned by one of the children present. Next, the goal is to build a bond with the children and ‘influence their fate’.
Furthermore, the player must reconstruct events from separate story parts. It can be deduced from the description that interaction with the environment is only possible when time stands still. According to Miyazaki, the game is “completely different from anything he’s made before.” From the Japanese site about the game, it can be concluded that two Move controllers are required to play the game.
