FromSoftware shows first trailer of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

FromSoftware’s new game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, will be released in 2019. The game will in any case be available for the Xbox One, as the trailer was shown at this year’s Xbox E3 presentation. However, the PlayStation 4 is also not ruled out at the moment.

The images of the game were shown at the E3 Xbox press conference, but are not accompanied by further text and explanation. The world of the game is very similar to a feudal Japan, supplemented by fantasy monsters. Just like in previous games from FromSoftware, the player character can’t really die.

This isn’t the game’s very first appearance. A very short and cryptic teaser was shown during The Game Awards of 2017. Then it was only really clear that it was a game from FromSoftware and that it is apparently a new franchise, which is now confirmed.

The PlayStation 4 is not mentioned in this reveal, but it is also not mentioned that the game is exclusive to the Xbox One, while Microsoft will mention that during this presentation if that is the case. Most of FromSoftware’s games are co-released for the PlayStation consoles.
