Destiny 2 Gets September 4 Forsaken Expansion
Bungie has announced another massive expansion for Destiny. On September 4, Forsaken will bring a new storyline, a new raid and the locations of The Tangled Shore and the Dreaming City to the game.
Bungie will likely announce more about the new storyline at E3 next week. Forsaken brings new enemies to the game with the eight Barons and the Skorn, as well as new environments, weapons and abilities.
With Gambit, there’s also a new 4×4 PvE game mode, where two teams compete against each other by resisting hordes of enemies. In addition, Bungie is making a series of changes in response to player criticism, including in equipping and collecting weapons. These adjustments should bring the game more in line with the original Destiny game.
The developer is announcing a new game pass that not only includes Forsaken but also entitles you to an expansion in the coming winter and in the spring and summer of 2019. This game pass will cost $70. The single Forsaken expansion will cost $40, with an expanded bundle of in-game items for $80.
Forsaken is out September 4 for PlayStation 4, Windows PCs, and Xbox One.
