Nintendo Re-Releases NES Classic Mini on June 29
Nintendo will re-release the NES Classic Mini on June 29. The Japanese console maker had already announced that it will re-offer the mini version of the classic console released in November 2016.
The NES Classic will be re-released before the end of the year, tweets Nintendo. The small version of the NES came out at the end of 2016 and the variant of the SNES followed last fall. After the stock ran out, Nintendo initially stopped replenishing it. The Japanese company said last year that the small consoles would be released again this year.
It is unknown how many copies Nintendo will make this time. During initial production, the Japanese company delivered 2.3 million. They quickly sold out. Nintendo therefore quickly increased production for the SNES Classic Mini, which turned out to be more available upon release.
The smaller version of the old NES contains a single-board system made by the Chinese Allwinner. Built around Allwinner’s R16 soc that contains four Cortex A7 cores and a Mali400MP2 GPU. Furthermore, the system includes 256MB DDR3 RAM and 512MB Nand Flash storage.
