Microsoft launches Surface Pro 4 screen replacement program
Microsoft has announced that it will replace the screen for free on Surface Pro 4 tablets that show problems. Several users complain that their screens start to flicker after a while.
The company announced the replacement program on its website. The company promises to replace the screen for up to three years after purchase, for both business and private customers, regardless of the configuration. Users who have previously paid for a repair can request a refund.
Surface Pro 4 users have been complaining for several months that their Surface Pro 4’s screen is flickering. In response to this, the website Flickergate was founded, where more than 2000 users have now shared their experiences.
According to the users, the problems only arise after a year. Some users have already found that when the Surface is put in the freezer for a few minutes, the problem disappears for a few minutes. However, a definitive solution has not yet been found.
