Design screen protector shows screen with notch for successor iPhone SE – update
Accessory manufacturer Olixar has unveiled a new screen protector for the successor to the iPhone SE. The attached image shows a device that looks like the iPhone SE, but has a screen that fills the entire front of the phone, except for a notch.
The image with screen protector can be found on Olixar’s website. The company calls the device the iPhone SE 2018. The device has a screen that, in the style of the iPhone X, covers almost the entire front of the device, except for a notch.
To make that large screen possible, the home button with fingerprint scanner is missing. As with the iPhone X, Apple may be planning to replace this button with gestures and use Face ID for identification. It is striking that Olixar speaks of compatibility with 3D Touch in the description of the screen protector. This feature was not incorporated in the original iPhone SE, but may be introduced in its successor.
Forbes suggests that Olixar has previously leaked the design of the iPhone X, iPhone 7, Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy Note 7, adding to the image’s credibility. When the iPhone SE 2018 will be released and how much it will cost is not yet known, although previous rumors indicate that it would still be available this month.
Update: The manufacturer also has a case on its website, showing the back of the phone. This image has been added to the article.
