Exact Audio Copy is developed by Andre Wiethoff and is a very advanced audio extraction program for the Windows platform. Modern reading techniques are used to apply error detection and correction when reading audio CDs, thus offering high quality guarantees compared to other programs. In addition, there is support for external encoders and the possibility to read in audio CDs with copy protection.
Version 0.95 prebeta 5 has recently been made available, which includes support for the AccurateRip plugin. The release notes and changelog look like this:
Here comes the new version 0.95pb5. It doesn’t have many new features, but every improvement is an improvement. Read more in the “News.rtf” file, which is included in the archive. At the moment I am quite busy with my diploma thesis and the work for my living, so it can again take a while until a new version will be released… So, hopefully you like this one.
