BenQ has announced the EX3203R, a curved 31.5″ monitor with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. The display supports FreeSync 2 and uses a VA panel.

According to BenQ, the EX3203R monitor can display HDR and the panel shows ninety percent of the dci-p3 color space. The maximum brightness is 400cd/m² and the contrast ratio is 3000:1. The curved panel has a curvature of 1800R. That is equal to the curvature of a circle with a radius of 1.8 meters.

The gray-to-gray response time is 4ms and with a refresh rate of 144Hz and FreeSync support, the monitor should appeal to gamers. BenQ doesn’t disclose what range FreeSync works on the EX3203R, but FreeSync 2 also includes Low Frame-Rate Compensation and should work at a large range.

In addition to displayport, hdmi and usb-a connections, the monitor also has a usb-c port. It supports power delivery up to 10 watts and must therefore be suitable for charging a smartphone relatively quickly, for example. The USB-C port also supports the displayport alt mode.

BenQ has not yet announced when the screen will be available and what it will cost. In 2016, the manufacturer released the EX3200R, a monitor with the same size and similar features, but with a lower resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. That variant currently costs 299 euros.
