Black Shark announces gamer-oriented smartphone with Snapdragon 845-soc
Black Shark, a Chinese company that Xiaomi counts among its largest investors, has announced a phone targeting gamers. The device runs on a Snapdragon 845-soc from Qualcomm and has a maximum of 8GB of RAM.
The company announces the device on its own site, where it mentions a price of 2999 yuan. According to GSMArena, this applies to the variant with 6GB ram and 64GB storage, the version with 8GB memory and 128GB storage costs 3499 yuan. The prices come down to converted EUR 387 and EUR 452 respectively. The phone is equipped with a 5.99″ IPS LCD with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and a battery with a capacity of 4000mAh. The screen does not seem to have an increased refresh rate, like the Razer Phone with a 120Hz screen.
The manufacturer also speaks of a ‘multilayer cooling kit’, which can be seen in the images that it bears the inscription ‘water cooling system’. No details are available about its exact operation. At the back, the device is equipped with a dual camera, one of which is twelve-megapixel and a second with 20 megapixels. In both cases, the aperture is f/1.75. On the front there is also a 20-megapixel camera, but with an f/2.2 lens.
The phone can be used in combination with a bluetooth gamepad, which is equipped with its own 340mAh battery. The fingerprint scanner is on the front of the phone, but unlike previous rumors, it is not processed under the screen. There is no SD card slot and a 3.5mm connection is also missing. The release will initially take place in China, where deliveries are to take place from April 20.
