Download phpMyAdmin 2.4.0 RC2

Today is release candidate 2 of phpMyAdmin 2.4.0 released† The program is used to manage MySQL databases. The changelog looks like this:

• tbl_change.php3, tbl_replace_fields.php3: Removed checkbox for binary upload, upload field moved into table.
• server_privileges.php3, lang/*.inc.php3, lang/server_privileges.js:
  • Reimplemented ability to change a user’s login information (bug #684984);
  • Feature: copy user profiles;
  • “Check privileges” should now also check for wildcards;
  • The revoke mode for deleting users did not always produce valid MySQL.
• lang/chinese-*.inc.php3: Fixed bug #682161 by removing some errornous strings.
• ANNOUNCE.txt: synchronized list of features and fixes.
• lang/czech: Updated.
• docs.css: Fixed URL.
• sql.php3, libraries/sqlparser.lib.php3: new analyzer logic for splitting the SELECT clauses, to solve almost all records counting bugs
• pdf_schema.php3: improved alignment, thanks to Maxime Delorme
• long/japanese: update, thanks to Yukihiro Kawada
• ANNOUNCE.txt: Prepared announcement for 2.4.0. Please feel free to correct it if necessary.

  • Don’t use small fonts for Opera 7.
• ldi_check.php3: Backslahes should be escaped.
