Microsoft announces The Outer Worlds 2

Xbox studio Obsidian Entertainment is working on The Outer Worlds 2. Microsoft has shown a first teaser trailer, poking fun at announcement trailers from other games. It is not yet known when the game will be released.

According to a description accompanying the video on YouTube, The Outer Worlds 2 will have a new solar system, a new crew, but the same ‘Outer Worlds’. More will be announced about the game as the release date gets closer.

The Outer Worlds 2 is a sequel to 2019’s The Outer Worlds, a sci-fi RPG somewhat reminiscent of Fallout. The game was created by Obsidian Entertainment, the studio that also made Fallout: New Vegas. The studio is now owned by Microsoft. The game will be available for Xbox consoles and Windows 10 at launch, also via the Game Pass subscription.
