Render shows Xperia 1 smartphone as successor XZ3
Tech journalist Evan Blass has put a render online of the smartphone that he says will be called Xperia 1. It is the successor to the XZ3 as a high-end model in the line-up of the Japanese manufacturer.
The Xperia 1 has according to the @evleaks render a fingerprint scanner on the side with a separate Power button below. Previous Xperias also have fingerprint scanners on the side, but that hasn’t happened since last year.
The render also shows the phone’s 21:9 screen, while three cameras are visible on the back. Just like previous Xperias, the phone also has a separate camera button on the bottom of the right side. Hardly any other smartphone has a separate button for taking photos.
If the screen has a diagonal of 6.5″ and a ratio of 21:9, it is a display of 15.2×6.5cm and 98.7cm2, making the screen the same width as a 16:9 screen of 5. .2″, the diagonal that Xperia models have had a lot.
Sony has planned a press conference for Monday, at the start of the telecom fair Mobile World Congress. There it will probably also announce midrange smartphones in addition to its new high-end model. They would be called Xperia 10 and 10 Plus.
