Sony lowers the price of PlayStation Now subscription to 15 euros per month
Sony has lowered the price of its PlayStation Now game streaming subscription from €16.99 to €14.99 per month. Furthermore, the app has been made faster and the layout has been adjusted. With the subscription, games can be streamed on a PS4 or PC.
Sony reports the price reduction in a press release and has put the new price of 14.99 euros on its website. According to the electronics giant, the service has been made faster and it is now easier to navigate through the available games. In addition, subscribers receive personalized game recommendations based on other games they’ve played.
Sony also mentions a number of new games that have been added to the service. These include Fallout: New Vegas, NBA 2K16 and Disgea 5. The service now contains more than five hundred games, both PS3 and PS4 titles. The vast majority are older games; Midway through last year, the first PS4 games were added.
PlayStation Now is a subscription service that provides access to a library of games that can be streamed to a PlayStation 4 or Windows PC. The games are not installed locally. Streaming requires a download speed of at least 5Mbit/s.
Microsoft has a similar service with Xbox Game Pass, but games are not streamed, but installed locally. Recently, Microsoft announced that it would add all its new first-party games directly to Xbox Game Pass. That subscription costs 9.99 euros per month, but for the time being has a smaller range of games.
