DigiTimes: ‘Mass production of Macbook Pro models with mini LED screens has started’
Apple suppliers have begun mass production of the upcoming 14″ and 16″ Macbook Pro, according to DigiTimes. These laptops would include a mini LED screen and a new Apple Silicon soc.
DigiTimes relies on sources from Apple’s suppliers, MacRumors also writes. By the end of November, 800,000 of these laptops could be delivered monthly, reports the Taiwanese medium.
The new Macbook Pro models are expected to be released before the end of the year. DigiTimes previously stated that Apple would do this in September, along with a new iPhone and Apple Watch, but it’s also possible that the company will hold a separate keynote this fall.
The laptops would, among other things, get a new design. Apple would also provide the new Macbook Pros with a mini LED screen and a more powerful Apple Silicon chip. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg previously stated based on his own sources that these chips will have ten CPU cores, eight of which are fast and two energy-efficient variants.
Furthermore, the new Macbook Pro-soc 16 to 32 GPU cores and support for up to 64GB of memory. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also previously stated that the new Macbook Pro would get a MagSafe charger, SD card reader and HDMI connection.
