JBL Unveils Wireless Headphones with Google Assistant
Audio brand JBL presented the Everest 710GA, 310GA and 110GA during the CES fair. These wireless headphones have access to the voice assistant Google Assistant, so that music can be played entirely with voice commands.
In addition to using voice commands for operation, the integration of Google Assistant also makes it possible to pass on notifications that arrive on the smartphone or tablet. Once the voice assistant is activated, the user can use voice commands, for example, to control the volume or listen to music of a certain genre.
To activate the voice assistant, Google Assistant needs to be installed on the mobile, connect the headphones to the phone via bluetooth and touch a sensor on the earcup of the Everest headphones.
The main difference between the three models is the design of the ear pads. The 310GA is an over-ear model, while the Everest 710GA is an on-ear headphone. The 110GA model has speakers that go into the user’s ears.
The battery of the headphones lasts 8 to 25 hours, depending on the model. JBL has not made clear what the battery life of the individual types of headphones is. The models will be available from spring. European pricing has not yet been announced, but Engadget reports that the 710GA will cost $250, the 310GA will retail for $200 and the 110GA will carry a price tag of $100.
