Download Firmware Plextor PX-712A 1.04

Plextor recently posted a new firmware on its website for the PX-712A, a 12-speed DVD burner. The updater can be run under Windows, but the separate firmware image available. In that case there is a flash utility needed, and these are available for the Amiga, MacOS, OS/2, Linux, and MS-DOS. The changelog accompanying this release shows the following changes:

• Support for newer DVD-R media.
• Support for newer DVD-RW media.

Improvements:

• Write quality on DVD-R media.
• Write quality on DVD+R media.
• Write quality on DVD-RW media.

Fixed Bug:

• Hangup during the writing of the lead-out area, using DAO on CD media at low speed.[break]
