Total War: Rome II Gets Empire Divided DLC
Creative Assembly is releasing a new expansion pack for the game four years after the release of Total War: Rome II. The campaign pack for Total War: Rome II is called Empire Divided and features new ‘heroic’ factions and cultures.
Empire Divided is set in the period from AD 270, when the Roman Empire is in crisis due to economic hardship and internal conflict. Among others, the Persian Empire of the Sassanids tries to take advantage of the weakened position.
The DLC brings new campaign elements to the game, such as cults and plagues. In addition, there are ten factions across five cultures, well-known leaders from the time and new buildings. As for factions, there are “heroic” classes, which cannot die and have narrative campaigns around some leaders.
Creative Assembly makes Empire Divided available on November 30 for 17 euros. At the same time, the company is announcing the free Power & Politics update, which expands the political system for Rome II, including all DLC, except for Caesar in Gaul. The open beta for this will start on Wednesday. The developer says they want to expand the game from 2013 because there are still many players, there were interesting times in the Roman Empire that were not yet present in the game and it offers an opportunity to make improvements.
