AOC releases 31.5″ monitor with FreeSync for 269 euros
AOC has introduced the Q3279VWF, a 31.5″ monitor with an MVA panel and a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The monitor supports AMD’s FreeSync technology to prevent stuttering and tearing.
The monitor has a response time of 5ms and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The panel has an 8-bit color depth using frame rate control. According to AOC, this leads to the ‘perception of 1.07 billion colors’, which according to the manufacturer is comparable to the experience with 10bit monitors. The panel has a brightness of 250cd/m² and a static contrast ratio of 3000:1.
The manufacturer has provided the monitor with flicker-free technology, which should make it more pleasant for the eyes to watch the screen at high refresh rates. The screen has a number of single standard connections, including dvi dual link, hdmi 1.4 and displayport 1.2. The viewing angle is 178 degrees, which according to AOC is comparable to the viewing angle with IPS panels. The screen is capable of displaying 98 percent of the sRGB color space. The AOC Q3279VWF should be released in November and will have a suggested retail price of 269 euros.
