First images WhatsApp Business come out
Images have appeared of Whatsapp Business, the business version of the communication service. This should be used in the near future so that companies can also use WhatsApp and serve customers. With the Business version, companies have statistics and profiles, among other things.
The images come from someone who has been given access to the private testing program for WhatsApp Business, and have been shared by Android Police. Incidentally, the site also reports that an apk installation file has now appeared, allowing the software to be installed. However, it can only be used with an account that has access to Business.
The images clearly show the functionality of the business version of the chat service. Companies can create a profile with information about their company, and can view statistics about messages sent and received, among other things. Furthermore, it is possible to set ‘out of office’ messages when no employees are active on WhatsApp, and there is support for landlines. The business version of WhatsApp looks the same as the consumer version, and both can be installed side by side.
The business version of WhatsApp came to light last month, when KLM announced that it was becoming active on WhatsApp and there, among other things, answering questions from customers and handing out boarding passes. WhatsApp had already confirmed that it is working behind the scenes on a business version of the chat service.
Companies can register to participate in the test. It is not known how long the test will last, but WhatsApp has announced that the software will be free for small businesses, while larger companies will have to pay. However, nothing is clear about the costs.
