WhatsApp is working on the option to transfer app groups to another administrator

WhatsApp is working on a feature that will let the owner of an app group transfer rights to an administrator. The feature is still under development, but will likely be made available to Google Play Beta program members soon.

The function was found by WABetaInfo in beta version 2.24.2.17. of the app for Android. In a screenshot, the site shows that the option is in the Group Information menu. Currently it is possible to make other group members administrators. However, this feature allows the owner of a group to transfer administrative rights to another administrator. For example, this can be useful for users with multiple WhatsApp accounts, such as a business and a personal account. If the owner of the group wants to transfer administrative rights to his business account, this will be easier with the new function.

It is not yet known exactly when the feature will become available to beta testers.
