Apple has version 16.3 of iOS released. From version 13, iOS is only suitable for the iPhone and the iPads have been given their own OS, the main difference being the extra options to use the larger screen. In iOS 16, which is suitable for the iPhone 8 and later, we find, among other things, a new lock screen with widgets. Furthermore, messages can be edited up to fifteen minutes after sending, tabs in Safari can be shared with others and routes can be planned with multiple stops. This update includes a new Unity wallpaper celebrating Black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month. Additionally, this update introduces security keys for Apple ID. This update also includes other improvements, bug fixes, and security updates for your iPhone.

This update contains the following improvements and bug fixes:

• New Unity wallpaper celebrating Black history and culture in celebration of Black History Month
• Security keys for Apple ID allow users to increase the security of their accounts by requiring a physical security key for the two-factor authentication sign-in process on new devices
• Support for the HomePod (2nd generation)
• For SOS emergency notifications, you now need to press and hold the side button along with a volume button and then release to prevent accidental emergency calls
• Fixed an issue in Freeform where some strokes created with Apple Pencil or your finger might not appear on shared boards
• Fixed an issue where the wallpaper on the Lock screen would appear black
• Fixed an issue where the iPhone 14 Pro Max would temporarily display horizontal lines after waking from sleep
• Fixed an issue where the Home widget on the Lock screen did not accurately display the status of the Home app
• Fixed an issue where Siri might not respond correctly to music requests
• Fixed issues where Siri requests in CarPlay might not be understood correctly
