ASUS announces the updated Zenbook flagship S 13 OLED, its thinnest OLED laptop yet with a thickness of just under 1.1 centimeters. The laptop contains a maximum of a thirteenth generation Intel Core i7-1355U and weighs exactly one kilogram. No release date has been announced yet.

Like the previous model, the Zenbook S 13 OLED has a 13.3″ OLED panel with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels. ASUS once again promises to be able to display 100 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and also the peak brightness of 550cd/m² and the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification is back. Last year’s model, like the Intel version of the S 13 OLED, weighed one kilo, while ASUS has managed to shave about 4 millimeters off the thickness.

The main difference concerns the introduction of a thirteenth generation Intel processor, the i7-1355U or the i5-1335U, and the connection with an Iris Xe IPU. As far as RAM is concerned, ASUS increases the maximum to 32GB Lpddr5 memory, while the battery has roughly 4 watt hours less capacity at 63Wh. The maximum storage space remains 1TB. Furthermore, the updated Zenbook S 13 OLED has a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, two Thunderbolt 4, an HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5mm port for connecting external devices.

ASUS has not yet released anything about the release date. The laptop, on the other hand, has already received a recommended retail price, namely $1699 for the top model with the i7-1355U and 32GB of RAM. It is not clear what the recommended retail price will be for the Benelux.
