Nikon releases Nikkor Z DX 24mm f/1.7 lens in June for 319 euros
Nikon has introduced the Z DX 24mm f/1.7 lens. The lens, which has a fixed focal length, is made for Nikon’s own system cameras with an APSC format sensor.
The fixed focal length of the Z DX 24mm f/1.7 lens offers an angle of view comparable to 36mm on a full-frame camera. The Z-mount lens has a maximum aperture of f/1.7 and a minimum aperture of f/11. Photographers can focus the image from 0.18 meters, which provides a maximum magnification of 0.19x. The lens is made up of nine elements and eight groups.
The lens offers the option of both manual focus and autofocus. There is no switch to switch between these modes, so users must do this via the camera’s menu. The autofocus of the lens is driven by a stepper motor. Nikon has not built image stabilization into the lens.
The weight of the lens is 135g and according to Nikon the lens is drip-proof. To prevent ghosting and flare, a lens hood is included with the Z DX 24mm f/1.7. The lens is intended for Nikon Z cameras with an APS-C sensor. Finally, the lens has a filter size of 46mm.
The Nikkor Z DX 24mm f/1.7 will be available from mid-June and costs 319 euros.
