Chinese smartphone brand Honor has announced its Honor 90 phones. The devices will first be released in the company’s home country, but will later also be released elsewhere in the world. Honor releases phones in the Benelux.

The series consists of two phones, the Honor 90 and 90 Pro. The Pro version has a slightly different design with hexagonal camera elements. The Pro version also has thinner edges, a slightly larger and curved screen, a different SoC, can charge faster and has a camera with a telephoto lens. Both phones have a primary 200-megapixel camera with a sensor area of 62 square millimeters and pixels of 0.56 microns.

The phones will be released immediately in China, but will later also be released in the rest of the world. The company does not say when that will be and at what price. Honor was once a Huawei brand, but for a few years now it has been owned by a consortium led by the government of the Chinese city of Shenzhen. The phones have Google services and they can use 5G, unlike Huawei phones.
