Beat Saber and Gran Turismo 7 will be available for PS VR2
Racing game Gran Turismo 7 is getting an update to support Sony’s upcoming PlayStation VR2 headset. It has now also become clear that the popular VR title Beat Saber will eventually also become available for the PS VR2.
Sony announced during its CES press conference that Gran Turismo 7 will receive an update so that players can immediately play the racing game as soon as the PlayStation VR2 headset is released in February. Owners of the racing game will receive a free update for this. The question of whether games available for the PS VR will also work on the PS VR2 is related to the fact that Sony’s new headset is not backwards compatible with PS VR games.
During the same presentation announced that Beat Saber will also be available for the PS VR2. The version for the new headset is still in development, so it is still unknown when exactly the game will be available. It is also unclear whether the paid DLC can be transferred. Beat Saber is a VR game where players have to hit objects coming towards them with two colored lightsabers. These objects represent parts of the music.
The PS VR2 will be released on February 22 and will cost 600 euros according to Sony there will be more than thirty games available around the release date. In any case, Horizon Call of the Mountain from Guerrilla Games belongs to that list. Other games that will receive support for the PS VR2, but not all of which will necessarily be available on February 22, include Resident Evil Village, After the Fall and No Man’s Sky.
