‘Armored Core 6 will be released at the end of September’
Game website Exputer claims that FromSoftware will release Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon in September or October 2023. According to Exputer, FromSoftware wants to release the game before the new Elden Ring DLC hits the market.
According to the editors of Exputer there is a greater chance that the sixth part of Armored Core will be released on the market towards the end of September, instead of in October. According to the website, this planning may still change if problems arise during development.
At the beginning of last year, the first rumors surfaced about a new Armored Core game. A ResetEra forum user then received a survey from FromSoftware containing screenshots, videos and questions about a new sci-fi game in which players control a mech. The video footage reportedly showed a boss fight that the user said was reminiscent of Dark Souls.
In the summer of 2022, FromSoftware CEO Hidetaka Myazaki then said that a game has been in the works at the company since 2016. This game was said to have been ‘in the final stages of development’ at the time. Finally, late last year, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco published a trailer from Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon.
Armored Core is a series of mech action games, the first part of which was released by FromSoftware on PlayStation in 1997. More than ten games have now been released in the series, the last part of which was released in 2013. Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, X, Xbox One and PC. FromSoftware has not yet officially responded to the rumors.
