Insta360 announces slightly smaller GO 3 action camera

Insta360 has announced the GO 3 action camera. Compared to its predecessor GO 2, the new action camera is slightly larger and relatively heavier. At 35 grams, it is still a light action camera. The action camera has also become more expensive.

The Insta360 GO 3 measures 54.4×25.6×23.2mm, compared to 52.9×23.6×20.7mm of its predecessor. The weight has increased by 8.5 grams, from 27 grams to 35.5 grams. However, it is still a small action camera compared to the competition.

The camera comes with a charging case, Action Pod, which looks a lot like charging cases for wireless earbuds. Compared to its predecessor, it has a rotatable touchscreen that also makes it possible to view the camera image remotely. The box can still charge the camera and has a 1270mAh battery. The camera itself has a 310mAh battery.

You can make videos with a maximum of 2720×1536 pixels at 30fps. 50fps is also possible with 1440p video. Photos have a maximum size of 2936×1088 pixels. Insta360 does not report anything about the size of the sensor, but like its predecessor it is an f/2.2 lens.

The price has also gone up. Where the GO 2 cost from 320 euros two years ago, it now costs from 420 euros. There are variants with 32GB, 64GB and 128GB of storage. The 64GB version costs 450 euros, the 128GB variant is 480 euros. There are various kits for various sports. The GO 3 is available immediately.
