Quake II Remastered appears at the South Korean testing authority

A remaster of Quake II has been released by a South Korean approval authority. Publisher Bethesda has not yet officially announced that title. It is not known when the game will be officially unveiled, but QuakeCon will take place in August this year.

Quake II Remastered was recently reviewed by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea, noted gaming website Gematsu. The approval body offers few details about the remaster, other than a brief description of the game’s story. It is therefore unknown which features will be added to the remaster. The studio previously released a remaster of the first Quake game. It received 4k and widescreen support, in addition to improved online functionality.

It is unknown when Bethesda plans to announce Quake II Remastered. QuakeCon will take place in Texas this year between August 10 and 13. The first Quake remaster was announced at QuakeCon 2021.
