“Suppliers can’t make many mini LED screens for 12.9″ iPad Pro yet”

Apple suppliers would still have problems with the production of the mini LED screens for the 12.9″ model of the iPad Pro, which means that the high-end tablet cannot be made on a large scale yet.

The suppliers are still struggling to produce the screens on a large scale, Bloomberg writes, citing sources. It is not clear what the exact problems are. The financial news agency reported that there were production problems before the announcement of the iPad. The production problems may mean that consumers who buy an iPad Pro now will not receive it until July, the news agency reports.

Apple announced the new iPad Pro models in late April. Only the 12.9″ model gets the mini LED screen, Apple dubbed the ‘Liquid Retina XDR’ screen. This screen has a maximum brightness of 1600cd/m² and a high contrast. With this screen type, there are ten thousand small LEDs behind the screen, which divide the screen into 2596 zones. This model costs 1219 euros. The 11″ variant uses a regular LCD and has no screen delivery problems.
