OpenAI releases ChatGPT Enterprise with additional privacy features for companies
OpenAI has released ChatGPT Enterprise, a service that provides access to GPT-4 and includes ‘enterprise-class’ security and privacy features. The service also includes larger context windows by default to allow for longer inputs.
ChatGPT Enterprise does not share business data or conversations with OpenAI, says the company, and the language models are not trained through conversations with companies. The conversations are also encrypted. The business version also includes an admin panel to manage employee access, domain authentication and SSO, and user insights.
Compared to the consumer version, ChatGPT Enterprise is two times faster according to OpenAI and users can use four times larger files or texts as input as standard. The latter is also available with other GPT-4 versions, only for a fee. Enterprise also includes free credits for OpenAI’s API.
OpenAI investor Microsoft previously released an enterprise version of its generative AI chatbot, Bing Chat Enterprise. The business chatbots are intended for companies that want to use the services themselves, for example to support staff.
