Amazon series about Fallout takes place in Los Angeles and will be released next year

The Fallout television series will appear on Amazon Prime in 2024. The series, produced by Amazon itself, does not yet have a definitive release date, but during gamescom developer Bethesda confirmed that the series is still coming. The series is set in Los Angeles.

Streaming service Prime shows a teaser image on X stating that the series is scheduled for 2024. That will be an exclusive for that platform. Furthermore, the image shows that the series takes place in Los Angeles, a setting that has not previously been discussed in the Fallout series. However, this is quite close to Las Vegas, where New Vegas takes place. There is no definitive release date yet.

Amazon announced the series in 2020. Few details are known about the series so far. It is clear that it is being made by Amazon Studios and Kilter Films, and that Fallout developer Bethesda is also participating. The series is written by writers from Westworld and Silicon Valley, among others.

The series was teased at the Gamescom trade fair, which takes place in Cologne this week. According to Gamespot the makers showed a trailer showing, among other things, a character walking out of a Vault and someone wearing Power Armor.
