Blizzard will release second Diablo IV season Season of Blood on October 17

The second season of Diablo IV is called Season of Blood and starts on October 17. Blizzard announced this during the Gamescom trade fair in Cologne. The new season adds a Vampire Hunter companion and a new quest line to the game.

Season of Blood gets according to Blizzard a vampire theme. In the season, players will receive new ‘vampire powers’ and a new quest line, in which they help vampire hunter Erys in expelling the vampire plague from Sanctuary. Erys’ voice is provided by actress Gemma Chan, known for the Marvel film Eternals, among others.

Blizzard is also adding five new and existing endgame bosses. The season also makes other changes to the game, including improved inventory management of jewels. Earned Paragon points, skill points, potion charges and Obol capacity upgrades will also be carried over to new seasons; This is currently not the case.
