Japanese billionaire announces passengers on first commercial SpaceX moon trip
Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa reveals who will join him on SpaceX’s first commercial moon voyage. This includes the American DJ Steve Aoki, the American YouTuber Tim Dodd and the South Korean rapper TOP.
In addition to the above-mentioned people, British and Irish photographers Karim Iliya and Rhiannon Adam, American filmmaker Brendan Hall, Indian actor Dev Joshi and Czech artist Yemi AD will also be participating. The reserve places have been allocated to Japanese dancer Miyu and American snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington. Have a total more than a million people signed up for the trip.
Because Maezawa bought all available seats, he can decide who travels with him. The journey should take about six days and is scheduled for 2023. It will use the Starship rocket, which is currently being finalized. The crew will travel within 120 miles of the moon’s surface, SpaceX said.
In 2018 it was announced that Maezawa was the first paying tourist to travel around the moon. The Japanese owes his wealth partly to his fashion brand Zozo. He previously spent twelve days on the space station.
