Idris Elba gets a role in Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty

Idris Elba will appear in Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion, expected in 2023. This can be seen in a teaser trailer that was shown during The Game Awards.

Elba’s character is central to the upcoming DLC. The actor, known for Thor and Prometheus, plays the FIA ​​agent Solomon Reed. Johnny Silverhand, played by Keanu Reeves, also returns in the expansion. In addition, the DLC still revolves around V, the main character of the main game.

Phantom Liberty was announced in September by CD Projekt RED. The paid expansion will be released in 2023 on the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The exact release date is not yet known. Although Cyberpunk 2077 was released on previous-gen consoles, Phantom Liberty will only appear on current-gen. The game studio also announced earlier this month that it will start developing a sequel for Cyberpunk 2077 from next year.
