OPPO releases Reno 10 phones in Benelux for 509 and 659 euros
OPPO will release its Reno 10 and 10 Pro in the Benelux next week. The phones were previously released in China. The devices receive two OS upgrades and three years of security updates, less than many other phones in their price range.
Both Reno 10 phones have the same design, although they differ in several respects. What is the same is the screen. It is a 6.7″ OLED display with a resolution of 2412×1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The phones differ in terms of, among other things, SoC, camera setup and battery. The SoC of the Reno 10 is a MediaTek Dimensity 7050, the Pro version has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G. That is a two-year-old SoC from the American processor designer. Both phones have a modem with 5G support.
The Pro has a 50-megapixel camera with a sensor area of 50 square millimeters, assisted by an 8-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens. There is also a 47mm telephoto lens with a 32-megapixel sensor with RGBW pixels. It is intended for portraits and street photography, the manufacturer says. The front camera also has a 32-megapixel sensor on both phones, but only the Pro has an RGBW pixel layout there.
The battery of the regular version, at 5000mAh, has slightly more capacity than the 4600mAh battery of the Pro version. The Pro version can charge faster at 80W than the regular version, which charges at 67W. The devices are released with Android 13 and come with two OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Many competitors offer at least three OS upgrades and four or five years of security updates. The Reno10 is available for 509 euros, the Pro version should cost 659 euros.
OPPO seems to be withdrawing from various countries. This has already happened in Germany and France, among others. The company denies that it is withdrawing from all European countries, although it has not released high-end models such as the recent Find X models and foldable phones in the Benelux.
